Google Play Music finally makes it’s way to iOS. Also, you could get a free month’s trial for its All Access streaming service (normally $9.99 a month), which gives you access to over 20 million tracks and custom radio stations. The iPad version should be out soon, but for now ou can find it at here.
Goolge brough back VOIP in Gmail and in Hangouts. Now you can have a hybrid of phone and video calls in the same hangout. Pretty cool.
Facebook’s infamous “poke” is trying to become relevant again. This time, instead of poking with your finger you can poke with a message, a photo, or a video? I guess. I wonder what clever picture guys are going to poke their friends with? Cool thing about it is that the pokes will expire 1-10 seconds later. Is it me or did I use an unusual amount of question marks in today’s blog?? What do you think and will you “poke” somebody with the new Poke App?
‘Tis the season for giving…And what’s the best way to show that guy in your life how you feel about him this year? A Christmas tie!??! Hopefully not, unless you are like my wife and just have impeccable taste. Most people end up getting their dads, brothers/brother-in-laws/husbands really, REALLY ugly ties. I myself have been given an ugly tie or two (luckily not by my wife, she reads this blog) and have sat in my closet in the land of forgotten ugly shit, never to see the light of day. Give the guy you care about most, something practical and worthwhile. If you really want to go the route of neckware, check out any of our previous post or even sites like http://www.thelifetieproject.com, http://www.thetiebar.com, etc. Or you could give them the gift that keeps on giving a high quality app that organizes and picks out their tie for them (wink, wink). Where would you find such an app??? (Hint: The Man’s Closet Ultimate Shirt and Tie App below…Again selfless plug)
Normally we bring mainly men’s fashion related post but today is a random tech nugget which we occasionally do from time to time… Good news for the iPhone 5 crowd, the Great google maps is back
Google has released its long-awaited map app for the iPhone. And it delivers all the expected features: voice-guided turn-by-turn navigation, traffic, public transit, Street View and so on.
For the few folks that actually use Siri on the regular, she is not integrated with the app so sorry.
